Ethical sourcing, transparency, sustainability at JCK Talks

JCK Talks, the renowned platform for insightful discussions within the jewellery industry, hosted a compelling panel on sustainability at JCK Las Vegas Show – The Venetian Expo. Titled “Mine to finger: transparency in the diamond supply chain,” the session delved into crucial aspects of ethical sourcing, transparency, and sustainability practices in the natural diamond industry.

Moderated by Tracey Ellison, The Diamonds Girl, and Grant Mobley, Jewelry & Watch Editor of Only Natural Diamonds and the Natural Diamond Council, the panel featured esteemed experts from the diamond sector.

The panelists included Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC; Naseem Banu Lahri, Managing Director of Lucara Botswana; Ilan Messika, CEO of Andre Messika; and Alisa Amupolo, CEO of Namdia.

Topics such as the importance of ethically sourced stones to retailers and consumers, the implications of G7 sanctions, the transparency of the natural diamond supply chain, and the sustainability practices and initiatives within the industry were passionately explored.
