Using Google Search Data to predict the most popular fashion trends, independent e-commerce business, jewellery box, has predicted a surge in pearl necklaces and gold jewellery in the lead up to Christmas.
According to the research conducted by jewellery box, pearl necklaces and gold jewellery shared a combined total of 96,200 searches in the UK alone in September. Circular fashion has become the frontier of the industry in 2022. As far as accessories, there are some things that can never go out of style. Pearls are a timeless, elegant piece of jewellery – giving any outfit a regal touch with little effort. Accessories like these are not hard to find – inheriting them as a family heirloom is a common thing to do and can only be beneficial as vintage pieces go up in value, so you might be lucky this Christmas to get your hands on a one-of-a-kind! With layering also becoming increasingly popular, jewellery box recommends combining a variety of necklace lengths, tones and shapes while maintaining a theme to create balance.
Similar effects can also be achieved with earrings.
The research also noted a 70.45% increase in search volumes for nameplate necklaces in September – in comparison with search volumes for the same product in July. Nameplate necklaces were the seventh most popular trending product during that period, behind Mini Uggs Boots, Sock Boots, Aviator Jackets, Faux Fur Coats, Leather Blazers, and Turtleneck Dresses.
