GJEPC delegation explores growth opportunities in Latin America

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has organised a Latin American delegation visit from 21st to 29th May 2024. The delegation will tour Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Colombia (Bogotá), and Panama (Panama City).

The visit aims to explore markets to boost India’s exports in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. Led by Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC, the delegates will assess market needs and requirements, identify business opportunities for the gems and jewellery sector, and network with industry associations and leading companies.

They will also work to understand the import and export policies of these countries and promote participation in the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) and Buyer-Seller Meets.

The delegation has engaged in interactive meetings with the Indian Embassy in Brazil and major retailers such as H Stern. Other companies represented at the networking evening were Monte Cristo, Vivara, VQ Jewellery, and Villar Joias.
