Jos Alukkas Group’s ‘Hospital On Wheels’: A lifeline for india’s rural communities

Renowned Indian jewellery brand, Jos Alukkas, has taken a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility in India’s rural areas. In partnership with Thrissur Jubilee Mission Hospital, the group launched a state-of-the-art ‘Hospital on Wheels’ initiative. This Rs 1 crore mobile medical unit was inaugurated by renowned actress Manju Warrier.

Celebrating Mr. Alukka Jos’s 80th birthday, the initiative aims to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to remote and underserved regions. This mobile hospital, a marvel of medical engineering, is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools like ECG, multi-para monitors, and mini-labs. It can simultaneously treat six patients, conduct blood donations, and store essential medical supplies.

“The Hospital on Wheels is more than just a mobile healthcare service. It’s our commitment to bringing top-tier medical facilities to rural communities that often lack access to specialized hospitals. We aim to bridge the healthcare gap and ensure quality medical care reaches every corner of India,” emphasized Jos Alukka, Chairman of the Jos Alukkas Group.

Fr. Renny Munden Kurian, Director of Jubilee Mission Hospital, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the crucial role of such initiatives in addressing rural healthcare needs. “By bringing healthcare to the doorstep of these communities, we can significantly improve health outcomes and reduce mortality rates,” he stated.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures including Fr. Sinto Kareparamban, Assistant Director, and Dr. Benny Joseph Neelankavil, CEO of Jubilee Mission Hospital, along with Jos Alukkas Group Managing Directors Varghese Alukkas, Paul J. Alukkas, and John Alukkas.

The ‘Hospital on Wheels’ is set to revolutionize rural healthcare delivery. It will conduct regular health camps, screen patients, and provide essential medical treatments. This innovative project aims to empower local communities and create a healthier India.
